Cross-plotting with VisualVoxAt

Cross-plotting multiple seismic attributes can greatly improve well correlation and may reveal hydrocarbon indicators that are not visible in conventional seismic analysis. This half-day session will review the applications of cross-plot analysis and cover basic cross-plot workflows for visualizing attribute relationships and correlating wells to seismic data. With VisualVoxAt's interactive cross-plotting tools, you will learn how to use cross-plot results to extract more information from your data and quickly delineate potential reservoir zones.

Topics
The following topics are covered in the course:
• Analyzing and editing horizons using cross-plot
• Cross-plotting strata-grid attributes for facies classification and attribute correlation
• Applying cross-plot results for correlating wells and predicting reservoir properties
• Practical cross-plot workflows using horizon attributes, strata-grid attributes and well data

Prerequisites
Introduction to VisualVoxAt or equivalent experience

Format
• Demonstrations, lectures and hands-on tutorials

Objectives
On completion of the course, trainees will be able to:
• Understand the cross-plot method and its applications
• Generate cross-plots, interpret results and apply results to reservoir characterization
• Fine tune cross-plots to correlate wells to seismic data
