11. Seismic Attribute Analysis

Strata-grid attributes
A stratigraphic grid can be made from one or multiple horizons, based on one of four contact types: proportional, parallel to top, parallel to bottom, or parallel to external surface. Attributes from 3-D volume can be extracted to strata-grid. User can export interpolated horizons. User can define a new interval using two slices in a strata-grid
Stratigraphic analysis
User can flatten a strata-grid on either top or bottom. Stratigraphic slicing can be animated in seismic section, base map and 3-D window interactively.
Interval attributes
User can define an interval object from one or multiple horizons. Statistics of seismic attributes in the interval are calculated as “interval attributes”.
Horizon attributes
Seismic attributes from multiple attribute volumes can be sampled to horizon instantaneously or within a time or depth window.
Tuning cube
Seismic attributes from multiple attribute volumes can be sampled to horizon instantaneously or within a time or depth window.
Frequency decay mapping
User can select a horizon to calculate frequency decay maps that indicate area where “frequency shadow” due to gas accumulation. Frequency decay trend line can be visualized in each trace.
2-D and 3-D Cross plotting & polygon classification
User can define multiple facies polygons in 2-D cross plot or 3-D polygons in 3-D cross plots for attributes of volumes, horizons, strata grid, or intervals and well logs. Samples in single or multiple cross plots can be real-time projected on base map or in 3-D windows. Samples defined in the cross plot can be stored as facies object. 1-D and 2-D probability density function (PDF) can be estimated and visualized for each facies.
Waveform Correlation Mapping
After extracting model traces from wells with known facies or reservoir properties (oil, gas or dry holes), user can generate waveform correlation for every trace in seismic volume between two horizons with the model traces, resulting correlation maps for every type of model traces or a classification map
